Part-Time Pastor
Strawbridge Community Church is seeking a Part-Time Pastor who will provide spiritual leadership, vision, and guidance to our church community. The candidate should be an effective communicator, able to clearly articulate the church’s vision, mission, and values to diverse audiences, including congregation members and community leaders.
They should possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to preach, teach, and inspire our congregation to deepen our faith and live out our calling.
Training:
Master’s or bachelor’s degree in theology (divinity), or in last year of divinity school and working toward masters.
Experience:
Minimum of one year experience.

2 Character references
Active Affiliations with Appropriate Ministerial Networks & Organizations
Duties – Responsibility
Spiritual & Teaching- Proclaim the Word of God.
-Provide Leadership and vision for the church.
-Deliver Bible based sermons & bible teaching to educate and inspire church members.
Discipleship & Mentoring– Encourage spiritual growth and maturity among church members through personal mentoring, discipleship programs and small group leadership.
Community Engagement– Represents the church in the community and participates in community events, services and outreach involving the church.
-Facilitate contact/visitation of hospitalized, grieving or in prison church members.
-Communication with church members: ex. returning text & calls within 24 to 48 hours.
Conducting Services- Leads religious services including:
-Weddings: Officiating wedding ceremonies, which involve pre-marital counseling, planning the ceremony with the couple, and conducting the wedding service.
-Funerals: Conducting funeral services, providing comfort and support to the bereaved family, and offering a message of hope and resurrection.
-Baptisms: preparation of the baptismal candidate, conduct the baptism ceremony & provide follow up discipleship
-Communion- overseeing and administering the sacraments of Holy Communion
-Anointing the Sick: Providing pastoral care to the sick or dying, which includes prayer, anointing with oil, and offering sacraments.
-Pastoral Care- Offer support counseling to members during times of need such as illness, grief or personal crises.
